Last but not the least in Sony's new line up is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650. This one too is a 7.2 megapixel digicam and includes features like; a high -performing 3x optical zoom lens, a two-inch screen and an all metal silver housing.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S650 is compatible with Sony's 4 GB Duo media cards and has ISO settings up to ISO100 which according to Sony helps you to " shoot at higher shutter speeds to capture the candles on a birthday cake or the city lights without using a flash." One also comes across technologies like; Blur Image Technology and Sony's Clear RAW(TM) noise reduction technology which helps reduce picture noise common to low-light exposures.
The DSC-S650 uses Sony's AF Illuminator which lets one shoot well in low light. A special light is thrown on subjects before taking a shot so that the camera's imager can better detect contrast. On a fully charged battery one can take about 460 shots and the function guide and resolution guide which display a simple text explanation on the LCD. The camera would retail for 150 bucks around February.
"Now that digital cameras are personal items, it's common to have more than one camera per household," said Phil Lubell, director of marketing for digital cameras at Sony Electronics. "Our new models are solid performers that will be easy for novices to digital photography to use and at the same time meet the needs of more advanced users."
